Have you heard the saying “ageing gracefully”?

I know it’s not always so easy to see the grace in wrinkles, grey hair and sagging skin but by embracing a healthy routine of care and pampering it is possible to be graceful about the way you manage your aging body.

One of the natural ways – and my most favourite – is with the use of essential oils.

Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers and other parts of plants.  They can be both beautifully and powerfully fragrant.  If you have ever enjoyed the gift of a rose, a walk by a field of lavender or the smell of fresh cut mint, you have experienced the aromatic qualities of essential oils.  Essential oils can lift the mood, calm the senses, and elicit powerful emotional responses and the use of essential oils goes well beyond their fragrant appeal.

Essential oils have been used throughout history in many cultures for their medicinal and therapeutic benefits.  The modern trend is towards a more holistic approach to self care and there is a growing scientific validation of alternative health practices and a driving rediscovery of the profound health benefits of essential oils.  Many have powerful cleansing properties and are naturally antimicrobial.  Their unique chemical structure allows them to pass directly through the skin for immediate systemic response to topical application. Essential oils can most certainly be used as a dietary aid to promote vitality and wellbeing.

I have included some testimonials and personal reflections of how essential oils can help with varicose veins, psoriasis, wrinkles, butterfly wings, upset stomach, weight loss, headaches and other areas of physically ageing gracefully.
